Are you managing alright?

[ At first, he isn't particularly worried by the responses - the odd ones, or the lack thereof entirely. It hasn't quite occurred to him that she might be having difficulty with the technology, and as a result by the time a few days have passed, having heard nothing for a while Barnaby is growing increasingly concerned. He sends her a few more messages to check on her, but nothing comes.

This new planet isn't off to the best of starts.

When they reach the rendezvous Lucina is the first person that he looks for; at first he's having no luck, which frustrates him beyond belief. He's sure that help will be at hand if he wishes to ask for it, but in the end there's nothing he needs to do about it. As soon as he spots her, the relief is obvious in his expression - even if it's shortlived, considering the fact that she seems to be injured.

One thing at a time, though. ]

Are you alright? What happened to you? I had difficulty contacting you, and I was concerned you had befallen some hardship on the way here.

[ Those two questions should cover just about everything, he thinks. So much for one thing at a time. ]

[ At least she's unharmed - for the most part. That much sets Barnaby at ease well enough, though the rest of her story troubles him. His brow furrows as he considers the implications. It isn't that being attacked while en route to the rendezvous is a new concept by any means, but the fact that it continues to happen while under the CDC's care is hardly going to help him sleep at night.

Very little does. ]

There's no need to apologise. It seems as though you had more than enough to deal with. Did you need a hand with the device?
